    The Dinner Dance at the Yorke Peninsula Veterans and Community Centre in Kadina is held on the first Friday of the month starting from 6pm (not January). Members and non members are very welcome.   • Victoria Park Moonta monthly walks

    The Friends of Victoria Park in Moonta have monthly walks on the third Sunday of the month commencing at 10am that all are invited to attend. The walk commences from the Henry Street entrance on Milne Terrace. Victoria Park is being preserved as a bush park after being initially established in the 1830's with community effort as a landcare plantation to protect the town from sand drift and to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria. Many of the original walking tracks are being maintained by current walkers. More details…

    The Moonta Country Markets, a Moonta National Trust event, will be held in Queens Square (previously old railway station) on Sunday 1st October (long weekend) from 9am to 2pm. Crowds flock to the stalls which feature crafts, toys, collectables, jewellery, books, produce, and bric-a-brac; and there's plenty of food and drinks available, including old fashioned sweets and homemade produce.     The Moonta JDRF One Walk will be held on Sunday 22nd October commencing at 10.30am in Port Hughes and walking in to Queens Square Moonta. The JDRF One Walk is a day for the type 1 diabetes community to come together and celebrate raising funds and awareness to turn type one into type none. Walkers will congregate at the intersection of Minnie Tce and and Dowling Drive Port Hughes and Walk 4Km to Queens Square Moonta following the walking track along Port Hughes Road, Frances Terrace and Robert Street. Cars should be parked at Queens Square and a shuttle bus will take people to the START line, departing Queens Square from 9.50am. The Walk village will be open from 9.00am for registrations before the walk commences at 10.30am. where there will be Market Stalls, Face painting, Children’s Games About the location Walk starts at Minnie Tce and Dowling Drive, Port Hughes.     The Moonta Christmas Festivities will be held on Sunday 17th December 2017 with a market from 3pm, pageant from 5.30pm. Children's Entertainment - Mr Oopy Kid & Bubble Show from 6.30pm and Carols from 7.30pm. Prior to the pageant there will be markets and entertainment for the children which will be held in Queen Square, starting at 3pm and finishing at 7pm. The Pageant commences at 5.30pm.
